  • High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

    I thought it may be good to share workout ideas.
    The following is a simple HIIT programme

    Burpee
    Press-up
    MountainClimber
    Side-to-side Squat

    Each exercise for 30 seconds with 10 seconds rest between exercises
    Rest for 1 minute between sets.
    Target: Perform 3-4 sets

    I predominantly use training exercises from the art (mainly because i personally find this keeps me more engaged than gym work) along with building in daily running.

    In kung-fu I'm using the drill and stance work.

    In aikido, weapons for strength and their equivalent of drill work for cardio and more dynamic movement.

          That's quite intense!

        ??????It takes 10 minutes to do. A great one if you fancy pushing yourself. But you are right it is intense
